Hello,
I was using a VM and tried suspended it - pressing the pause button like usual.
But it did not suspend and instead the yellow pause button went away, turned into a green play button and the VM is just working as usual.
Now everything is greyed out - the play button, the snapshot buttons, Send CTRL ALT DELETE....
Also under VM menu option, everything under VM -> Power and Snapshot are also greyed out.
What can I do - the VM is still running and I cant do anything since it is all greyed out.
Should I delete the contents of %appdata%\VMware folder (2 files – preferences.ini & inventory.vlms)
What can I do ?

UPDATE: I right clicked the taskbar VMWARE icon and said to suspend every workstation and that works. It suspended properly and then restarted properly with no grey outs.
Why did this happen ? How can I prevent this in the future ?
