Physical security for always running VM

We are running a network analyzer in a Win7 VM on Mountain Lion.  In order to keep the VM running, all power saving and screen savers are turned off both in the VM and on the mac host.  This leaves the host displaying an unsecured desktop.  Is there a way of locking the host computer desktop while running the VM (without locking the computer in a closet)?
