Error Horizont 7 - Security Server Certificate
Hello Guys
In my lab, I was installed Horizon 7. In the View Administrator, the Security Server show the following messages.
Status: Server's certificate subject name does not match the server's External URL.
Server's certificate is not trusted.
IP Sec: IPSec is configured but not active on the security server and the Connection Server instance.
SSL Certificate: Invalid
The implementation is only for testing proposal, and a CA Certificate was created in the Enterprise CA based in AD.
Also I open all the ports of FW in the Connection Server and Security Server.
Is possible your help for this error.

Cannot Remove Orphaned Templates in vSphere.6.5
Co-worker removed 3 master images for Instant Clone pools from Inventory and removed from disk.
All the cp-template, cp-replica and cp-parent files remain.
I moved them into a folder I named "VM's To Remove" and tried to remove the folder.
I get the message: The method is disabled by 'horizon.daas'.
If I use PowerCLI and try to remove a VM I get the same error message.
Using Horizon 7.2.
Anyone know how to get past this?

UAG 2NIC Deployment - Routing/Forwarding Assistance
I am looking to deploy a 2NIC UAG 3.1 to replace my security server.
During the initial deployment of the OVF deployment properties, it wants the following inputs. These are the first 3 inputs in the list.
DNS Servers
Gateway
Netmask
Are these for the Internet facing interface or the Mgmt/Backend Interface?
Also, would anyone be able to post a sample of the custom routes needed for NIC1 and NIC2 along with the forwarding rules? I realize this will be based on what IP settings I am using but just wanting to understand it a bit more by seeing an example.
When I initially deployed it without inputting the routes and forwarding settings, I was able to access the UAG mgmt interface internally and config the connection settings back to my Connection server, but when I attempted to connect from the outside using a client I was getting a timeout. Monitoring the firewall I could observe the internet facing interface getting hit, but nothing after that. I am assuming I need some type of routes on the UAG configure to pass the traffic from the Internet to the MGMT/Backend interface within the UAG regardless of my firewall rules.
If some one could provide a sample I could following that would be helpful.

vSAN Stretched Cluster - Local and Remote Protection
Gents,
I have two identical servers with 2 SATA SSDs and 5 x 1.2 TB disks for capacity (layout attached).
- Both side A and B of each server has RAID5 configured at the hardware level
- Each site has one (1) server and a third site hosts the witness.
What I would hopefully like to achieve, is having vSAN objects replicated between side A and B on each server (so i can lose a disk group and still be functional), as well as remote protection at the secondary site.
Hope that was clear. Also attached the storage policy i came up with for review.

VRA and Kubernetes
Hi,
i would like to be able to deploy kubernetes blueprints, i am looking at the guide below but the article mentions that you need VRA 7.X enterprise. whilst reading through i cant see any features that would require enterprise edition. we have Advanced and i am keen to use this but not sure if i can?

NSX manager for NSX rename
Hi,
we have deployed a NSX manager and we have then gone on to deploy the NSX vibs to hosts, setup ESG and DLR.
we have then gone to register the NSX with log insight and realized that we have the wrong name of the NSX manager and we do need to change it.
the edit option does let you do it but just wondering if it might break anything that we have already provisioned?
any help appreciated.

blueprint designer
hi,
i am looking to assign permissions for a user to allow them to design and create blueprints.
from looking i think this permission is the one that needs to be used:
Business group manager
the above role is what i found in version 6.2 but this role does not seem to be available in version 7.3
application architect & infrastructure architect are the ones that seem to make the most sense but i want the person to only be allowed to create blueprints for their own specific business group.
is this possible? i have looked at the following resource but they only mention the permission at the tenant level rather tahn the business group vRealize Automation 7.0

ESXi 6.5 - Device Passthrough
Hello all,
I'm an ESXi beginner trying to get my graphics cards to passthrough my VM. In ESXi under Host>Manage> under the "hardware tab">PCI Devices, it states the device is not capable for passthrough. At first, I suspected that the hardware wasn't passthrough capable. The first card I tried was a Asus RX550 4G. Called Asus, they could not tell me whether or not it would work. I then tried a XFX- AMD Radeon HD 7970, this shows the same, Not Capable. I cannot add a PCI Device, this is greyed out. I have scoured the Bios settings for the board and ensured all settings for VT-D are enabled.
Hoping to find help on the next steps or direction here, currently at a loss.
My specs are:
ASUS P9X79-E WS
Intel Xeon Processor E5-2695 v2
CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB)
Samsung 850 EVO 1 TB SSD

Cannot use Blast protocol after upgrade from Horizon Client 7.2 to 7.3.1
HI All,
We noticed a strange issue just the other day. We upgraded the Horizon View Agent from 7.2 to 7.3 and published to our persistent VDIs. After being rebuilt, we found that we could not connect to the VDIs with the Blast Protocol. We received the error:
'the display protocol for this desktop is currently not available'
Our Security and Connection servers are all on 7.3.1-6760913, and the Horizon client we use is 4.6.1. We are running Windows 7 Professional for the VDI OS.
PCoIP works just fine, and if we roll back to 7.2 Blast will work just fine.
I checked the View Events and found this:
Unable to launch from Pool: ** for user **: There were no machines available that reported protocol [BLAST] as ready
Would anyone be able to shed some light on this?

VMNET0 Missing after Upgrading Workstation Pro 12 to Pro 14 on Windows 10 Version 1709
All of my VMs use bridged networking. After upgrading from Pro 12 to Pro 14 bridged networking stopped with error vmnet0 not running. When I look in virtual network editor I don't have a vmnet0 even when I click on the change setting button. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Pro 14. I have tried restore defaults in the Virtual Network Editor. When in virtual network editor I click on bridged I get
"cannot change network to bridged: There are no unbridged host network adapters"

After Windows 10 Update from Version 1703 to Version 1709, VM no longer can read/write to Mac (host) - help?
Hi all,
For context, my current Fusion VM has the following specs:
- Fusion 10 Professional Version 10.0.1 (6754183)
- MacOS High Sierra (10.13.1 current build)
My VM Microsoft Windows 10, for this update, is going from "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4041676)" to "Version 1709".
It was about a ~2GB download/update.
After the VM restarted several times to update the MS Win10 OS (which to me means it was a big update), I found that my VM no longer allows me to write any type of file to the Fusion Mac Host. For example: my files are saved on the Mac OS desktop (for my own reasons) so the VM accesses those files like they normally did using the Shared Folders setting. For the record, my VM always successfully wrote to the Fusion Mac Host.
So, example, when I open a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that is stored on the Host Mac desktop, I edit it, when I try to save it says something like "cannot save". When I try it with MS Word, the error is different in that it says something like "connection to the remote folder was lost, please check your network file share connection".
I haven't taken the time to "Uninstall" the update to see if it will revert back, I basically blow away the VM instance and restore from a backup VM running Version 1703.

VSAN 6.6 Stretched in Nested Environment：Network Partition
When the number of Stretched cluster host to 8 when the network partition will occur.

I deploy 7 Nested ESXi hosts and then make it 3 + 3 + 1 vSAN Stretched Cluster（Site-A : 3 Hosts , Site-B : 3 Hosts and 1 for Witness Appliance），No network partition problems occurred.
Host yellow exclamation mark is because I enabled SSH
Once the VSAN cluster is 8 hosts（Site-A : 4 Hosts , Site-B : 4 Hosts and 1 for Witness Appliance）, there will be a network partition problem.

Problem with Safari/App store High Sierra and Fusion 10
Hello,
I have a strange problem: I run Fusion 10 on a MacBook Pro 2012 with Retina display with HighSierra 10.13.1.
In a VM I run also HighSierra 13.10.1. The OS in the VM starts up and seems to work but Safari does't get an internet connection and also the App Store stays blank (probably same issue). If I start a firefox browser it works fine and has a working internet connection.
If I copy the same VM to a patched VMware Workstation 14 on Linux (I know, that one is not supported), start the HighSierra VM then Safari and App Store work just fine.
Now I ran out of ideas. Can anyone help?

Clarity icons not showing in Firefox from plugin-seed developed plugin
Hi,
We've found an issue when registering the latest version of our plugin. The plugin was developed originally from the plugin-seed. Following registration, it works as expected when accessing from the Chrome browser (for both H5 and Flex clients). Please see attached H5 image ("Chrome with Clarity icons.png") with Clarity icons shown (green tick for scan, and warning symbols within the datagrid rows).
However, when browsing to the plugin view (same VCSA) using Firefox (for H5 and Flex) we find that the Clarity icons are not shown. Please see the H5 screenshot included ("Firefox with no Clarity icons.png").
The console is clean when inspecting H5 from the dev tools in Chrome.
However, when inspecting the Firebug console from Firefox (viewing H5), issues are reported in the console - including "customElements is not defined". Please see the included screenshot ("Firebug console log.png").
Could you please help us to resolve this issue ASAP, as we have this error affecting production.

Powershell Script Results To Attribute
I am using the workflow "Run Script in VM" which is this powershell script:

IN VRO, it returns a name as expected DOMAINPC205. I'm outputting that text (at least I thought I was) to an attribute as a string as seen below
On my next workflow I'm using that output attribute as an input for creating a PC in an OU, but its always NULL., because the string value in the attribute is null. How can I get the results as a useable attribute?
I cannot seem to figure this out....any ideas?

My VMware error: Unable to Complete Your Request
Hello. I signed up for the VMware website. I signed up and had to activate my account via a message received from vmware. When I tried to activate the account and logged in, the following error appears. I do not know how to solve it.
PS. I am not able to log in to VMware and therefore can not use technical vmware support . If I put a topic in the wrong section then I'm sorry.
